II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The Council"s
Engineering and Construction service area require a fleet maintenance and
tracking system for their fleet of vehicles and over time it is expected
that the system will be rolled out to other services within the Council.
Additionally lone worker and officer tracking technology will be required
to provide Health and Safety officer tracking facilities for staff when
working outside a vehicle or dealing with the public. Although the system
is being considered for the Engineering and Construction fleet, initially
it is expected that implementation of other fleets and the provision of
lone worker facilities will follow.
