II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The FSA
publishes Comparative Tables (CTS) for consumers covering a range of
retail financial products on its website at: http://www.fsa.gov.uk/tables
The purpose of the comparative tables is to assist consumers by allowing
them to compare features and prices for pensions, annuities, ISA funds,
savings accounts, mortgages, investment bonds and endowment policies. The
CTS application enables consumers to manipulate the data in accordance
with a range of possible personal circumstances and preferences. The CTS
application and website is managed by the FSA. The FSA wish to contract
with a data collector who will have the following responsibilities: 1)
Collecting the required data from product providers on a regular and
occasional basis; 2) Checking the data; 3) Updating the Comparative
Tables every 24 hours (excluding Sundays and Mondays) by transmitting
files to the FSA; 4) Ensuring that data transmitted daily to the FSA is
compatible with the CTS application - this does not include managing the
comparative tables application and website; 5) Managing relationships and
procedures with product providers; 6) Monitoring the market for
developments in the products featured on the CTS; 7) Liaising closely
with the FSA on any matter affecting the CTS and product data. Market
